| ADN (Associate Degree in Nursing) DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTIONSaint Joseph Mercy Homecare provides healthcare, disease management and education services to people in the comfort of their own homes. Patients who are recovering from surgery, acute illness or injury, may be eligible for our services. Our homecare program is custom tailored to every patient and may include: nursing, rehabilitation, infusion therapy, wound specialty services, or social work. SUMMARY Provides and documents comprehensive professional nursing care to clients and families in their place of residence considering physical, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual and age specific/developmental needs, Utilizes and documents use of the nursing process (assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation) in coordination with the established medical plan of care and institutional policies and procedures. Coordinates care with the client, family physician, other health care workers and community resources. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan. BSN preferred. Valid Michigan drivers license and access to personal vehicle for travel. BLS-B certification. 1-2 years previous clinical experience in acute care setting; Home Care/Hospice experience preferred. |
